What started as a gift from a few friends evolved into the site you landed on today.
While recovering from a difficult period of illness and spending several months essentially confined to my bed, my friends gave me a jewelry-making kit to help keep the days busy. I started making pieces for myself, then for friends, and eventually began bringing my work to vendor shows throughout New York and Connecticut. Seeing people connect with the pieces I made made me want to create a place where they could discover and shop them at their leisure.
My work is inspired by the things that have always caught my eye: memories from childhood, everyday objects, retro pop culture, and the colors and textures of coastal living. I’m drawn to pieces that are bold or deceptively simple, with small — or not so small — details that make you look twice. I like unexpected color combinations, unusual shapes, nostalgic references, and natural materials, and I’m always looking for ways to bring those things together in a way that feels a little unexpected.
As I continued making jewelry, I became increasingly interested in creating the pieces within the pieces. I started working with clay, resin, shrink plastic, found shells, and other materials to make my own beads, charms, and little trinkets. Over time, I’ve built up a collection of handmade components that I can mix, match, and pull from whenever I’m creating something new or feeling inspired.
While some pieces may look spontaneous, very little is accidental. Even the simplest design has usually been taken apart and strung back together more times than I’d like to admit before landing on the final combination. I like the process of experimenting with different shapes, colors, textures, and materials until everything feels right.
Each piece is made by hand and in small quantities, with the hope that it feels a little different from what you might find in your everyday jewelry box.
